Loss can be distressing for caring hearts. Our pets are only by our side for a brief part of our lives, yet the moments spent with them are cherished. For many, they hold significant importance in our lives, akin to our human loved ones. They are considered part of the family, and how we treat them reflects our own karma. The golden rule of treating others as you would want to be treated applies to animals as well as humans. Some view them as guardian angels watching over us on Earth. Although animals eventually depart to where angels reside, they leave behind lasting imprints on our hearts in the form of memories, emotions, and pawprints. A tabby kitten angel serves as a poignant symbol of life's fragility. Pets contribute to the enrichment of our lives, and the memories of a beloved pet can endure a lifetime. This primitive folk art depiction of a tabby kitten with a halo, paw prints, and a rose signifies the enduring memory of love transcending into the afterlife. In this particular instance, the kitten was a feral rescue discovered at a shelter, originating from a litter found in an abandoned car in a grassy field. Due to regulations, the shelter had to retain the kittens for an additional two weeks before they could be adopted. Sadly, Chloe's untimely passing the day after adoption was a result of severe blood loss from numerous flea bites. It is distressing to consider how prompt treatment just a fortnight earlier could have changed the outcome. Like the real kitten, this unique design is a one-of-a-kind creation. Let us prioritize the well-being of our pets as well as each other.

This is so precious and very beautiful, especially accompanied by your beautiful words. I have lost 2 cats and 2 dogs in my life, and there is no ever getting over the grief, they are in my heart forever. i did adopt two new kitties this past fall, and they really are my angels, little trouble makers or not.
Lynn Raizel Lane replied:
I always see cats and dogs as angels, too.. left many pawprints on my heart over a lifetime (now retirement age) so thanks for letting me know you opened up your heart again to more, because those kitties really KNEAD you (pun intended).. you have a kind and loving soul, so thank you for all your sweet words you've shared to me :) Your support of my artwork is most appreciated, Sharon!
