The artist wishes more people could know to realize the power found in imperfection, the wisdom and strength in things left unsaid, and the beauty of simplicity. This straightforward painting captures a touch of drama, showing a fisherman's silky, longhaired cat navigating the direction of his old, weathered fishing boat from the bow. Consider whatever could be located on that mysterious island, and feel welcome to share this artwork with others if you found it enjoyable. Thank you!
Cat Rocks the Boat
Poem by Fine Artist, Lynn Raizel Lane
She sits as wind gently tosses her fur
Riding patiently upon the bow
The boat ride always makes her purr
A fish dinner sounds great about now!
She eats fish pieces that are too small
The fisherman is generous with her
What cat would not want to eat them all
Then lick flavor off of her fur 😊
Exodus 14:14 "The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” This is powerful, because God also told us -- Psalm 56:4 "In God, whose word I praise— in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?"

love it. Because I love trees and your image is perfect even in showing the road in behind the trees. And of course, the cat. Lovely work.
Lynn Raizel Lane replied:
I appreciate your comments, Sabina! Whatever is behind those trees is just waiting to be explored.
