During challenging times, a glimmer of hope always exists, akin to the glow emanating from a candle illuminating the fur of a red tabby cat. In folklore, cats are thought to enter our lives to symbolize a desire for liberation. The cat's flexibility positions it as a potential spiritual guide, capable of inspiring us to shatter constraints and embrace transformation. Perhaps a disruption of routines is necessary? Maintaining a positive outlook is crucial for surmounting life's obstacles. This particular artwork, meticulously crafted over the span of a year, pays tribute to the artist's beloved cat (departed too soon). The painting portrays a candle flickering on the windowsill of an aged, weather-beaten workshop. This boarded-up remnant is protected and overseen by the cat's essence, serving as a poignant reminder of its once content existence.

What wonderful expression in this cat's eyes, like it just spotted something and is getting ready to pounce.

I found it and I love how you painted this enigmatic lovely cat. She or he is watching for something. Maybe waiting. You really caught the facial expression and her entire stance. It is lovely. Besides, I love the old boards and the burning candle. Lovely work, Lynn.
