Description
Ukrainian Rescue Mission ❤ is a professional, expressive painting, created by human hands with ACRYLICS in both traditional and original application methods, revealing this skilled artist’s unique, instinctive talent; presented from the passionate heart of Fine Artist, Lynn Raizel Lane. This painting depicts a striped, tabby kitten who was rescued from the freezing cold and now enjoys the warmth and comfort of a cozy pillow by the window. The word "rescue" in Ukrainian, followed by a heart, is subtly written below to blend with the frosty, blurry effect that evokes the icy landscape outside. The artist created this artwork to raise awareness about the plight of pets and feral animals who can die from exposure to low temperatures. The painting also celebrates the kindness and goodness of people who dedicate their lives to saving homeless cats and dogs, thus giving them a second chance to become loving and loyal companions. The artist hopes that this kitten will soon find a permanent, forever home where it can purr and cuddle with its own human.
The snowflakes are hand-painted in the traditional Ukrainian style, inspired by the artist's grandmother who immigrated to America with her family after the Titanic disaster, during a turbulent time in Ukrainian history. The artist has the documents to prove her grandmother's story, so you can trust the authenticity of this painting.
😊 Snowflakes are abstract by nature, since they are all different. These were all meticulously and passionately painted the old-fashioned Ukrainian way.
Rescue Mission
Poem by Lynn Raizel Lane
Found a tabby cat frosty cold in the snow
As it looked up a meow came out crinkled
Timing showed nobody else would know
It stuck to a wet bag that was ice wrinkled
Well what could I do but take it home
Maybe warm air and some love could matter
It curled up by the fire like a round furry dome
That death sentence would now surely shatter
