This painting symbolizes America's defense of liberty and freedom for the USA. A veteran meticulously hand-painted this symbolism as a heartfelt tribute for Veteran's Day and Memorial Day to honor all branches of the military and their families. The Statue of Liberty, a colossal statue known as the Great Lady, was a gift of friendship from our ally France, symbolizing our country's freedom and goodwill towards humanity. It is a part of Westernized culture representing our republic, while offering sanctuary to those fleeing tyranny worldwide. The statue stands on Ellis Island, a federally owned island in New York Harbor, located in Upper New York Bay within New York and New Jersey. Ellis Island served as an immigrant inspection and processing station from 1892 to 1954, processing nearly 12 million immigrants for lawful entry into the USA. Today, the monument is accessible to the public only by ferry. The duration of her standing is uncertain, as freedom comes at a cost. The American Bald Eagle is the National Bird, and red poppies symbolize wars fought with immense bloodshed and heroic sacrifices, providing people and children from all backgrounds a chance at a brighter future. Black represents grieving families honoring the fallen, while green signifies new growth for a hopeful and prosperous future. The paper poppy is worn symbolically to commemorate the end of WWI on November 11, 1919, with green leaves pointing upwards at 11:00, signifying a moment to remember the fallen and honor all veterans. The artist painted a vibrant sunset with rays breaking through dramatic clouds to symbolize the ongoing struggle of good triumphing over evil. Despite conflicts, over 100 million lives were lost between WWI and WWII, emphasizing the need for unity and collaboration to preserve freedom. God Bless America!
