😊 This animal is a beloved, easy, lumbering, gentle giant. Some people think sailors mistook them for mermaids. The artist took painstaking time in hand painted detail to capture the unique beauty of its abstract, underwater habitat. This painting was to create awareness of these wonderful, worthy, endangered creatures.
This distinctive painting is showcased to raise awareness, with an additional layering of texture medium and ink detail, which gives this original a rich, heavenly style. The Manatee can be found in three species of these large, fully aquatic marine mammals, that are mostly herbivorous and sometimes referred to as sea cows. They possess a natural charm and subjective beauty. They move at a notably slow pace, are peaceful, and are currently in the ENDAGERED list. Have you seen any in aquariums? if so, were you aware that they have what appears similar to elephant NAILS?
A Fabulous Manatee Manicure
Original Poem by Lynn Raizel Lane
There ONCE came a mother Manatee
Wanting nails trimmed for her own SANITY
Her baby swam patiently for awhile
As I searched to find the biggest nail FILE
One thing the Manatee has in common with the Elephant.. is the TOENAILS. This mother Manatee is gingerly showing off her fabulous manicure with pride. Manatees use their flippers to "walk" along the seabed while grazing on grasses and plants, which grow in shallow coastal waters of the Indian and Western Pacific oceans. But, seriously, they are comical mammals with lives underwater where unfortunately, they get injured when encountering boats.
